The video, directed by Mark Romanek, was a lush video set on a sound stage. The overall effect of the make up and video's styling evoked Japanese sensibilities, a cultural approach she would time and time again borrow and remodel as her own. The video won an MTV VMA for its technical brilliance.

Still one of Madonna's absolute most gorgeous, accomplished videos. Simply stunning. You can see how beautiful she really is in this clip - her movements are fragile yet intense. Loves it!
